GRASSES IN CLASSES

Some schools are participants in a program called "Grasses in Classes." Schools in this program have built seagrass nurseries and reproduction pads as part of the program. Students grow plants native to our shorelines. When plants are ready, students split them, planting half at an identified restoration site where native plants are needed to provide for a healthy natural ecosystem. The other half remains at the school to produce the next generation of restoration plants.
